witcher 3 freezing every 15 min. r295x2

hey.

ive been having problem with the witcher 3 freezing every 15 min approx.
before the second expo came out, i played through the previous expo with no crashes in 4k and 30ish fps. now i am playing in 1440 p and almost 60 fps, still freezing all the time.

what basically happens is that i play, then suddenly it freezes completely, sound keeps playing. but CTRL ALT DEL does not work, so i have to use the power button to turn of the PC.

additional info + what ive tried
- used DDU to remove drivers
- tried 5-6 different drivers, newest one, and older drivers.
- tried vertifying cache, and reinstalling game
- tried underclocking my card slightly, when game crashes temp is like 74C i
- i dont use any mods, and i am playing the game on steam.

i really hope someone got and bright ideas, will try anything! thank you!

That really sounds like either your display drivers acting up or a case of overheating. Since you already did a clean install a couple of times, you could wait for Nvidia/AMD to release new drivers. Have you checked whether your CPU was overheating?

Try lower the graphical settings and play for a while to see if anything happens and also try uncap your framerate if you did. I'll get back to you if i come up with a better solution, haha.

thanks for answer. i have not checked if CPU is overheating, what do i need for that? i checked gpu temperature in catalyst control center.

i tried lowering graphic and uncap frame rate just now, sadly it did not work, crash after 15ish minuttes... this does not seem as a easyily fixed problem..

You can check CPU temperatures through HWMonitor or Speccy by CCleaner

•Play offline
•Turn off Steam Autosaving (Steam cloud)
