Witcher 3 with widescreen mode?

I have a 15 inch 1024x768 VGA monitor (Benq FP531) . I played assassins creed unity with the black bars on top and bottom (aka letterbox) by turning Widescreen ON in settings. Is there a similar setting for Witcher 3 or do I have to change something in GPU settings?

EDIT: I have GTX 960 2GB GPU

I have a better solution, replace your monitor with something bigger starting from 19" with at least 1050p or 1080p or 1200p.
Your GPU is good enough for those resolution anyway.
The 19-24 inch monitors should be already quite cheap nowadays.

Yes I will do that eventually, but till then what is the solution?

I am also playing Witcher 3 and I am not aware, if there is an option to fit 16:9 on 4:3 with black bars.
I have tried it, since I am running 2560x1440.
The black bars.....are you sure this is from the game and not the monitor's doing?

I know, you want the black bars.
I just dunno if that is really from the game or GPU driver..or your monitor's function.
