Question With 32GB memtest shows problems (including freezes), each 16GB stick in each slot works fine...help...

Hi,
suddenly this weeks my pc startet to freeze. So I did a memtest and it showed some errors, around 6-10 per pass. All were that addresses were diffrent as expectet.
Trying to find the faulty stick I tried both sticks in both slots and I had no errors.
Memtest done without xmp at 4800.
Problem came up without any OC. I tried with and without OC. All is the same..

Could the memory controller have a problem? Or the mainboard or the CPU?

Here are my specs:
Intel 12900k
Asus Prime z690a (don't know the Bios version but from mid April)
2x 16GB G SKill F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5RS DDR5 6000
couple of nvme
Thunderboltex 4
Win 10 fresh install.
MSI 2080TI

its possible it will fail 2 tests, Brandstring & CPU Frequency as the test doesn't know CPU yet.
This does not mean that your processor is defective. In order to complete the test on the IPDT go Tools > Stop Testing On Fail > Off.

are both sticks from the same set?

updating BIOS could help.

Yes, they are the same. Bought them as a pair.
I will try the test when I'm at home. Thanks!
