I have an issue with my Ryzen 5 2400G system. I have 16 GB of DDR4 on an ASRock AB350M Pro4 board.

I don't need assistance getting my PC to boot, I can clear CMOS and get it to fire up just fine. The issue is, I need SMT disabled so Unity doesn't crash every 5 minutes. As soon as I disable it in BIOS, the PC goes dark. Power, fans, and GPU remain running, USB devices are completely off and the computer doesn't boot to windows.

If I force it to shutdown, then reboot it, it doesn't even boot into BIOS and just remains in this powered up state. As soon as I clear CMOS, it boots up just fine, I can even apply all my settings without issue, until I try to disable SMT, then it doesn't boot again.

What are my possible solutions? Is SMT disabled non-possible with my motherboard? Can I just leave it enabled and force certain programs not to run hyperthreading?
