WLAN adapter attempts to authenticate, then says not connected

I have a Realtek RTL8192CE wlan card and it's worked perfectly up until today. It was working fine until randomly I was disconnected from the internet. I looked down in the bottom right corner of the screen and the wired connection icon with the little yellow warning triangle is there. I went to my adapter settings and it says my adapter is attempting to authenticate, then after a while it will stop and say not connected with a red X next to it. Occasionally it will look like its working but when I try to load a website it just times out, or takes a rediculous amount of time to load.

Reboot your router and then the computer. Forgetting the connection and trying again may help also.
