What are the pro's and con's of using yours versus a Bob Roberts switcher
for $45? I mean I know yours is a computer grade supply, but still, I've
seen regular switchers outlast computer supplies too. Are there any real
differences or advantages or disadvantages? I believe I heard that with a
regular switcher you can still get high score table corruption. How about
on yours? Anything else?

The big difference is that bob's just connects to the 20-pin power supply
molex, and this replaces all the wiring. 1/2 of the power problems in
WMS games appear to be from bad connections on the IDC .156" connectors.
I thought about just doing a little board that you could plug any ATX
into with a molex for the original harness, but like bob's (and AS's)
supplies that only helps 1/2 the problem. This is basically for lazy
people who don't want to fix the original supply and replace all the
connectors in their harness, which is what I do in all of my wms games.

The other (minor) thing is that the computer power supply gives a true -12
for the sound board, although I ntever noticed much distortion using -5 from
a Chou switcher either.

Since the memory protect circuit needs +12 unregulated to come up first
for the memory protect circuit to work, any switcher can suffer from
BRAM corruption, the circuit can be modified pretty easily to fix that, or
you can replace the 6514 / 2101 with a modern NOVRAM and eliminate that
problem (and the batteries all together).

High amperage computer power supplies are over-kill for classic games.

If something goes wrong on an older boardset, the sense circuits of
these "computer grade" power supplies would not react quickly enough.

I'd stick with the normal switchers.
