Hi, guys!

So I'm trying to play Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and everything is extremely laggy. I tried running it on low settings but even then I get like 25 FPS max.

My rig:
i5-4670K @ 3.40 GHz
16 GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 770 (2 GB)

Is this normal (is this game really that taxing)? I know my GTX 770 is not exactly state of the art anymore, but it's the first time I've encountered any serious performance issues in any game since I assembled this rig (almost 4 years ago).

Thanks!

If it's from Steam or GoG it should be fully updated, but check to ensure it is, disc copies and some digital downloads will need to be patched to the latest version manually.
Make sure the AA settings are as low as possible, this game is a real VRAM hog and AA only makes this more severe.
Disable deferred rendering, it should help.

Ultimately the main issue is the games insatiable demand for memory, even on low and 1080 rez it'll want more than 2Gb of VRAM, and the minimum requirements call for a 4Gb GTX770: https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/wolfenstein-2-the-new-colossus/16124
If it's any consolation, should you decide to upgrade the graphics card, prices have dropped significantly over the last month or so, having reached absurd levels previously due to the cryptocurrency mining boom.
