Won’t switch on

Hi needs some help, pc turns on for a few seconds the cuts out and tries to start again

We'll need some more info in order to really help you. Can you please give us detailed information on things like:

1. PC specs (including PSU)
2. When did the problem start?
3. Did you make any changes just before the problem started?
4. What have you tried for troubleshooting?
5. Take a look inside your case (assuming it's a desktop) and tell us what you see happening when you try and power on. Lights? Any spinning fans?

Hi, I am using a advent desktop running Windows 7, it was working fine yesterday switched it on this morning the power light comes on for about 9 seconds then the whole thing switches off, and tries to start up, have cleaned the fans and checked for any lose connections, but I am not pc competent so any help would be appreciated
