im looking into building a new desktop, primarily used from gaming. i've been looking into some different set-ups, the one im considering building would be using a ASUS P8Z77-M PRO LGA and a COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus . the case i was thinking about getting is XION Gaming Series XON-980-BK

my question is will that fit inside this case, if not then could you recommend a good case around that price range. and if so you could still recommend something that would be a better buy.

specs for desired built - please give advice if you think anything could be done better/cheaper(same efficiency)

case - XION Gaming Series XON-980

memory - Western Digital WD Blue WD10EALX 1TB 7200 RPM

Crucial V4 2.5" 256GB SATA II SDD

MB - ASUS P8Z77-M PRO LGA

cpu - Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz

Hs - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus

gpu - 2x MSI OC GeForce GTX 670 2GB

psu - CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3

ram - Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM

LG 24X DVD Burner

windows 7 HP

Solution
the great one is 212 evo, not 212 plus :)

are you sure 3770K? it will only help in profesional software. for gaming, definitely 3570k

personally i will go with 2x gigabyte windforce 670 4GB

SATA II SDD -- why not sata III?

the rest are all awesome

whoops- typed the wrong thing there the 212 evo is the one i was looking into getting, not sure how i messed that up.

just looked at sata III, thanks for that, much better a bit more pricey but there are some reasonable ones.

i didn't get a 4gb version because i will only be running on 1 monitor at 1920x1080 and from what i've read its not necessary unless you plan a multi-monitor setup.(please correct me if this isn't right)

as far as the 3770k, i got it for performance gain when multi-tasking and faster response times when running programs and utilities - mainly creating mods or working in something like the creation kit for skyrim. i could downgrade but the price drop isn't that significant so i didn't see a reason not to unless it is just really unnecessary for what i'm wanting to do.

i also changed a few things in my setup - with some of you're help this seems better and its near the same price - changed to better mobo and a different case - thoughts/opinions?
