Recently my HIS 7870 GPU died. I am not sure why. It was only one year old, and HW Monitor always showed very low or good temperatures for it. (It was suggested in another thread that my 42" HD TV that I had it connected to might have caused stress on it, although I am a novice and don't know myself. I have a monitor now though).
But I have an i5 750 and Gigabyte P55-UDP4 motherboard (or might be UD4P, I mix the numbers/letters up). My CPU is at the stock 2.66GHz. I do have a good fan on it (would have to ask my brother the name of it, he built it for me pretty much, I'm a novice to put it lightly, it is his old setup pretty much).
Should I OC the CPU a little, with a 7870 level card, or is stock ok? Im not so worried about graphics, I just want to make sure I do what's right for the hardware. Or perhaps get a new CPU and mobo?
