Thank you to people who help, and I'll accept changes but kinda only if necessary.

I would say drop down to 8GB of RAM, you won't see any advantage in gaming. With the savings, drop both of the 650 Ti Boosts for a single 670. You will have less driver/compatibility/noise/heat issues with a single GPU, and the 670 will take care of anything at 1080P.

Thanks, I was thinking about that with the card, although from what I read the 2 650s can beat a 680 and I'm a little future proofy like that. Also if I want to render stuff too, would 8gb still be good.

what is your budget? ill put something together thats better. SLI 650ti boosts is the worst idea ever. a single more powerful card is always better than 2 weak sauce ones since there is no scaling issues and that you can upgrade later on if needed. also to note that haswell comes out in 2 weeks

My budget is under 1250 and I knew about haswell but figured prices would be so much higher. And If you could then yeah make a wayy better build.

There are just a lot of caveats with dual GPU setups. 8GB is plenty in my opinion, CPU affects that more. Plus, you can always drop in another 8GB down the road if you find you want it.

So 1 8gb stick and a high quality GPU?

Lol Im sorry but one more thing whenever you see this, I prefer a white case but if it can't happen, it's whatever.

Thanks for the build, I'll deff go with that(seems like my best choice)(I'm a first timer)

This is clearly more power heavy which is what I like, but what are the advantages of this or the other build? I'm a first timer and don't know it all

What are the advantages of your build compared to the newly introduced one? I don't know if you guys focused a specific thing or not. (First Timer, I don't know much.)

This is the most powerful of the builds posted, there will be more heat generated and it will be noisier than a single GPU setup obviously, but if performance is your goal then this is a good choice. The 7950 trades blows with the 670 and overclocks very well.

I should note the Gigabyte Windforce 7950 is one of the coolest/quietest you can get.

So this build means better Game Proformance.

keep in mind that he is using a very cheap case, no SSD (which makes your computing experience much more noticeable than having another graphics card), and no OS. add another hundred dollars to get it

and also to note that crossfire still has runt framing issues. they are getting fixed but as of now, crossfire produces a ton of runt frames which will affect how smooth the graphics are. also to mention that there is no point of crossfire 7950s on a 1080p panel unless you have a 120hz panel.

Sure I agree with most of the points. I would much prefer a single GPU, but I am just giving him some options. A single 670 or 7970 is plenty at 1080P. I would say "a ton of runt frames" is probably exaggerating, but I am not here to argue.

OP, Any of the builds will work, Troll's 7970 build gives you the best all around build in my opinion, and you can always get a 750 watt PSU if Crossfire is in your future.

What about dual SLI, is that more proven for working.

What about GTX Graphics cards?

If you really want SLI, it does have less issues than crossfire, and this would be most you could squeeze in to your budget.

But it gives me the option for 2560 right? And I can have a second screen because of it?
