Wondering if the PSU is adequate

So I am new and have tried many of the PSU calculators out there... only with some help from them.. Attached are links to the case-psu, motherboard, and graphics card. Also note I will be using a Intel i-7 2670QM (45 Watt TDP) & 2 sticks of 4GB DDR3 204-pin 667/1333 Mhz.

In my eyes it looks good.... 50 (processor) + 110 (graphics card) = 160 Watts.. so 140 Watts leftover to power the 2.5" 7200rpm HDD, 8GB DDR3 ram (2 Sticks), and whatever else is that'll use power. So that's where my question is if someone could help me out with is the power usage other than the 160 watts for the processor and graphics card. I might think about putting in a slim optical drive as well if that alters power consumption much.

I'm confused... The CPU and RAM you listed is for laptops, and you can't buy mobile processors... 😵 But with everything, a 400W should be fine....

But another thing that scared me is the build itself... It's like patchwork. It's just doesn't make sense... What will you be using this PC for? I may be able to help you out.

butremor, I appreciate your input but I don't drop this build for reasons you might find below.

BreadWhistle, you are correct they are for a laptop.. thats why im looking specifically at this ITX board. I have the processor and RAM lying around as I upgraded my laptop recently so that's why this build looks like patchwork... I want to use up this spare cpu, ram, and hard drive I have lying around.

I only plan on using this for regular use on internet, possibly as a media center for my tv, and maybe (1% chance) for some light gaming. And from most of the psu calc online a 400 would be work fine but I'm wondering if the 300w will be fine as it comes with the case i selected off newegg. (I'm trying to go cheap if you cant tell)

I'm not sure how well this setup will run, but be sure you have a HDD as well. And if its a media center, you are probably going to want a blu-ray drive.

The GTS450 is not one I would pick for media center purposes. Just get a cheap 6570.

This setup is more expensive than you would need for a media center though.

Any reason why you wouldnt select a GTS450? Or why do say the 6570 > 450?

Because if you are just using it as a media center, there really isnt any point to waste money on a high end graphics card, as there is not much of a point to waste that much on a motherboard for that processor, but hey, I'd probably do the same thing if I had that processor lying around.

The 6570 would suffice for light gaming, and the GTS450 uses more power.
