The i7 seems excessive, an i5 would go great with the r9 270 and it'd be cheaper. I'd personally pick windows 7 64 bit since windows 8 is just a flop in my opinion. I'd try budget cut in other areas to afford a fully modular psu, much better for airflow...These are all personal preference. Since you asked for suggestions.
but if you could elaborate more on what your use for the PC was, it'd be very helpful in deciding what is worth having 😛
yeah I would go with an i5 or an i3 but the x99 only supports i7. I am going to usefor gaming and multimedia, thanks
Well if you're committed to the i7 and that board it'll work excellently for multimedia and gaming. Especially if you planned to make videos. Jesus I forgot you were going for DDR4 ram...You seem to be going all out.
My opinion...
Fork out extra for the fully modular psu for cable management and airflow. Always worth it in my opinion.
Get yourself a better card, not that yours is bad but just with how all out you're going on the other parts...I don't see why you'd stick with a 270 and not go for at least a 280x. You'll get similar gaming performance as a machine with a way cheaper CPU if you stick with that card. I'd personally fork out for a 290x.
Your set up will work fine in general, just overtime you'll notice the gpu is letting it down. I'd also spend a little extra on a cpu cooler with that set up, but that's entirely up to you.
