i have it put together and running (typing this out on it right now)

right now i'm ordering a fan controller and card reader but have a little money left over (due to holiday pay i forgot i was going to get before the graphics card purchase) and want to know what if any coolers can fit in this case. i know it says it can fit a h100i but do i need a 100 dollar cooler when right now the most i would do is just let intel turbo take over. i have done some temp monitoring with stock heat sink prime 95 15 min blind test with intel turbo on it reached 82,81,81,76 at their highest and avged out at 78,77,78,74 over all. and with intel boost turned off it was lower 70's with 70 being the avg temp on the same test for the same amount of time. i guess what i'm getting at is can i tell now if i have a good chip which i would then invest the 100 dollars into a good cooler for or do i have a less then good chip that would only be worth protecting with a better air cooler and if so what air coolers would fit in this case that has no data (even in 4 video and editorial reviews of it) on the distance from chip to the side or the size of heat sink that it can hold.)

any information would be taken with gratitude. Thank you for your time.

Solution
1. Buy the evo 212.
2. Read the overclock link I posted here.
3. When you needssupport with your overclock , AFTER reading that guide give me a shout im happy to help.

Your cpu would automatically 'wind down' if it go to hot (approx 100 degrees) so don't worry about breaking your CPU but dont try to overclock until you get the evo 212.
MadaSnave,

There is no way of telling what the 'quality' of your CPU is until you overclock it. The STOC fan is fine if you just want to use turbo. also those temps, although not great , perfectly acceptable.

Be aware that the 'turbo' @ 3.8ghz only uses an extra 100 per core not 400 per core.

What are you using your PC for? if its gaming what are the temps like under gaming load?

If your on a budget a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (29$) will fit your case. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1834355/cooler-master-hyper-212-evo-fit-rosewill-challenger-case.html This will keep your CPU nice and cool @ STOC or even an overclock upto 4.2Ghz.

HOWEVER... Taking into account you have a 'K' chip , you may as well overclock it otherwise a different chip would have been a better financial choice in hindsight in terms of $ per Ghz.

Most people can achieve 4.0Ghz or 4.2 Ghz very easily by following this guide http://www.overclock.net/t/1411077/haswell-overclocking-thread-with-statistics i do however reccomend you get an aftermarket cooler before you start overclocking.

Some people run 4.0 with the STOC fan, however temps aren't favorable.

I have a EVO 212 & i5 4670k @ 4.2ghz. My Temps are 60ish on P95 Blend. http://valid.canardpc.com/c24afz

Ok just played an hour of smite and temps were max 53 52 50 53 (with turbo turned off). I'm fine going either air or a smaller radiator as that wouldn't seem to block to much room just the case has very little room above the board for the top vents to have a radiator there. I've seen a video where they put one on the back of the hdd cage as it has a fan harness there but with push and pull that would take up almost 3 inches of graphics card out of the picture. (not that I'll ever get a $1000 dollar graphics card, but i like to keep my options open.) so the hyper 212 evo would be the air option as ive heard good things about them but can a single radiator water cooler beat that or no?

yes i plan to overclock. i look at it as extending the time i can use this machine to game btw just enabled turbo once more and played for another hour or so max temps as follow 56 53 54 56 so you were spot on about turbo not heating it up much more and that made me a lot more comfortable using turbo. but this would be my first overclock so i am some what nervous about it.
