Wondering what to upgrade on PC? CPU? RAM?

I built a PC ~3 years ago, and have since upgraded my GPU to a GTX 1060. However, I have been getting some poor performance on games such as the Destiny 2 beta which runs anywhere between 30-60fps on high, or Shadow Warrior 2 which runs at around 50-60fps with frequent drops to the 40s. In the case of Watch Dogs 2, I have difficult hitting 40fps on medium.

So, I was wondering if anyone would be aware of what in my build would be the bottleneck and what I could do to increase performance? I am willing to upgrade whatever, however I only really have a budget of around £200.

Thanks in advance!

PC Specs:
GTX 1060 6GB
AMD FX6300 Six Core Processor 3.50ghz
8gb ram
MSI 970A-G43 AMD 970 ATX Motherboard
1TB HDD
5TB HDD

The best price/performance Ryzen 5 is the 1600..
1600x (comes without fan) is the faster one but 1600 is the best for value.
Also do not forget, you will also need a mobo B350 or X370 and a new RAM kit.

Ryzen 5 below 1600 has only 4 cores instead of 6. I would not take them.

It's the 6300 that is slowing you down. OC'iong can mak a small difference. Even upgrading to the 8350 won't make that big of a difference that would justify its price. I can only recommend that you keep saving until you can upgrade your motherboard, CPU and RAM to a more modern and powerful system. Ryzen 1600, B350 and 16GB of RAM.

Which Ryzen 5 would you recommend since there seems to be a couple? I can probably go over 200 if necessary

CPUs are funny like that, there are some it seems like aren't the best idea for anyone, there's a better value above and below the price point.

Great, thanks! I'll stick with what I've got for now then, so I can save up and upgrade all three at once.
