Hey i recently decided to revive my old computer with a little upgrade, so i put it together and turned it on WOOT into the bios :) so i set it all up and everything and i know it has xp installed from when i left it, but when i get to the options menu to start in:

safe mode
safe mode with networking
safe mode with command promt
last known good config
start windows normally

it just runs on a loop? it goes to the windows xp loading screen loads for a few seconds then goes back to the screen asking me how i want to run in again, in which mode.

anyone got any idea what i can do?

Pretty sure doesn't cut it. Enter BIOS and check that the SATA mode is as described above. If you have verified the proper mode, and the problem persists, then you have either a driver or hardware problem.
