Hey guys, so today I updated my Z170p BIOS so I could install my i7 7700k. All went well, CPU installed and running nicely. Checked out the system info and can only see 8gb ram installed when I have 16gb. Checked CPUz and this reports the full 16gb.
I went back to the BIOS and could see only 8gb is reported under system information but I can also see all 4 DRAM slots being reported with their frequencies etc (2133mhz).
I have tried resetting the CMOS to no avail. Reseating the CPU, checking for bent pins.... still no luck. I also noticed that now on the BIOS it reports that the memory capacity is only 8092mb whereas the manufacturer states its 64gb.
Finally, I have 4 ram slots of 4gb each filled.
