I deleted this as I stumbled across another thread that featured this answer and thought I would avoid creating a duplicate.
I inadvertently used a modular PSU cable from one unit on another, and this led to failure to power up.

I had read many threads before posting, but shortly after I found a related thread that had this suggestion.

Glad that you were able to resolve the issue; using cables from different modular PSUs can destroy equipment very easily. So it appears you had good fortune!
