won't show in device manager

Basically the problem is my new gpu won't show in device manager and drivers won't install everything else is installed and all other drivers and what not but no matter what I do I can't get the gpu drivers installed

I have the video cable in the gpu and that's how I installed everything

Please provide your complete specs including the complete make and model of the GFX card in question.

What happened before this? New build? Upgrade?

aquie is saying we also need to know your PSU.
My question is have you connected the pci-e power cables to the GPU?
Also, and I don't think this is a necessary thing anymore, look in your BIOS and see if it has an option to disable onboard graphics, and enable the GPU slot.

Got it to work after like the 30th time reseating it seems to work fine I also had to downgrade windows to a older version of 10 to get it to work
