Won't turn on after connecting molex while on

I was connecting a molex cable to my nzxt hue+ while the oc was on and it immediately shut down. I've already tested my psu with the paper clip trick. I've disconnected every cable and put them back together. I've taken my ram sticks out tried in every spot. Took cpu out as well. Please help. There is also a little light flashing on my mother board sometimes. It flashes every couple of days and then the next it won't. It has a +- sign above it

sounds very much like the PSU is blown and/or motherboard is now failing or failed.
the light flashing could very well be a code for what exactly has failed at boot. keep an eye out for it and note any pattern to it. check the user manual for regards to the light and what it means.

how old is the system and where did you purchase it? if you purchased separate components find the invoice for the PSU and the motherboard. you should be able to RMA, exchange, or get a refund on either if within warranty.
