Word Docs open to Windows Media Center- not the doc itself - Doc has different emblem than Word emblem

Word Docs open into Windows Media Center instead of opening into Word. The docs were recently transferred from Vista to Windows 7. The docs now has a different emblem than the Word emblem(icon). I would guess that it's likely a settings problem?

Right-click on the file, select Open With and Default Program. Select Word.

Hold shift key and RMB click file. select "open with". Choose new default word program.
