WORD2000 Icon Links to WINWORD and Error..

Whenever I click on an icon to open WORD2000 it opens then I get an Error message that says WINWORD An error has occured in this program and will close. To keep working click ignore...What is this about? I just tried to repair OFFICE2000 but it didn't fix this problem with Word2000, Any ideas? I can open WORD200 docs when they are emailed to me, sometimes.

ok..before you do this backup all important data....
uninstall office 2k..reboot(you may not be able to come back up after this)..this is where the format/reload comes in. if thing go ok..then reinstall office 2k and see if that fixes it..if not..format/reload.
