Work monitor problem

Hello again I have 2 work monitors here that seem to not be working properly all of a sudden. It turns on fine then 2 seconds later it goes black. im able to see it barely visible and the computers working fine. i thought it might be the vga cable but its not working on 2 computers and when i use another monitor it works fine. any thoughts?

If the monitor is old, it could have worn out capacitors or a burned out backlight. I have seen both of these cause the symptoms you describe. If either of these is the cause, your easiest solution is to replace the screen. With the current prices of monitors, neither of these problems is worth the cost to fix.

Only if they are dell ultrasharp or similar professional screens and 24" or larger.

If that's the case, then it could be worth your while to get this repaired. If possible, I would get a quote for repair cost from an hp certified shop. Broken 27" and 30" displays can be worth a few hundred dollars.

Not worth saving or selling then unless you know someone who needs practice with repair.
