Hello all,

I recently moved to a new home and I realized for the first time our internet cable box is not connected to the router. The cable box is in the master bedroom and the router is in the kitchen (which is the center of the house between rooms) My computer is in my room and connected to the internet with an ethernet cable connected to the router. About every 15-30 mins my internet loses connection and reconnects again after 30 seconds, but it interrupts whatever im doing (such as streaming youtube video). My question is, does my internet get interrupted because my router is not connected to my cable box? Or does it not matter at all?

Do you recommend connecting the router and cable box together? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

(leaching). the last may be failing router (heat) when router start to fail they start dropping connections.
