Hello,

I am a first-time PC builder. I plan to use this for video editing and gaming. I also will be doing some AI image gen. Currently I'm on a laptop (no GPU).

Budget is $2000-2500. I live in USA.

By the way, I hate RBG (and I plan on covering the glass on my case with black gaff tape ;) )

This is my build:
PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K 3 GHz 24-Core Processor ($470.71 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($116.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z790-H GAMING WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard ($249.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory ($197.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Acer Predator GM7000 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($134.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Asus TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB Video Card ($849.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Lian Li LANCOOL 216 ATX Mid Tower Case ($94.00 @ Newegg Sellers)
Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS GX-1000 ATX 3.0 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($139.99 @ Newegg)
Monitor: Dell G2724D 27.0" 2560 x 1440 165 Hz Monitor ($199.99 @ Dell Technologies)
Total: $2454.64

Notes on how I chose each:
CPU - A beast for video editing and all-around.
Cooler - As much as I hate the idea of liquid cooling (my nightmare is this thing leaking liquid all over my parts), I think I have no choice, as I am not convinced any fan will be able to handle this beast of a CPU. She gets hot easily, they say.
Mobo - Should do the job. Don't wanna spend more than this.
Memory - You need a lot for editing. Already purchased.
Storage - Hopefully good.
Video Card - This thing is sick and is right in the price range I want. She is recommended for tasks I will be doing.
Case - Well reviewed and fits everything I need. However, I hear it has no dust filters, which is less than ideal, so I am very open to recommendations on alternative cases if there is a better one.
Power Supply - Yes, I went for 1000 W even though my estimated max is 695. This is for three reasons - 1) in case the estimate is low; 2) efficiency is maximized closer to 50% usage, so a 1000W will be more efficient than a 750W; 3) I may want to use the same PSU in another build one day with more powerful components.
Monitor - Already purchased this today; got $55 off via my credit card rewards and a DELL rewards discount. Sometimes in life, the gods smile upon you, my friends.

Planning on buying this all throughout this week.

Hoping for some constructive thoughts on this from anyone who wishes to respond. You will have my undying gratitude, as I am new at this and am learning along the way!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Your build looks good as is, though I'd pick the Samsung 990 Pro over the Acer drive and add another SSD that's smaller in capacity that's meant for the OS, apps and game launchers. You can have a large(2TB or higher) SSD as your game library. While another SSD can be your scratch disk and finally a drive to house all of your final renditions.

Yes, it is. I made a couple of changes since that post initiated and wanted to start anew.

Thanks above for the SSD advice, I may get an additional one.
