Working Skype for Windows XP..which

Hello,
does someone here still use Skype on Win XP SP3?
I'm having troubles, I've tried some portable version, then 6.xx and 7.xx, none of them working, unable to connect. Checked firewall etc.
So if Skype still works on XP, which version and from where to download?

Since Microsoft took Skype over, you will find they're messing with it to stop folks using XP. Disgusting behaviour.
