Hello all:

I recently performed a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro on my Dell Latitude D630 notebook. This machine has an Intel 4965 AGN wireless adapter that produces a BSOD Driver IRQL not less or equal sometimes very frequently.

Microsoft mistakenly indicates this device is supported and they bundled a driver with 8.1. Intel said they will not write an 8.1 driver for this card.

I’ve read numerous articles on the internet of people having the same issue with a variety of wireless devices. Some seem to have workarounds with mixed results. None have worked for me.

Is there a mini PCIe card or a mini USB wireless card that absolutely, without question work with Windows 8.1 Professional?

There were no issues with Windows 7 professional, but I really don’t want to go back.

All feedback appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

The x64 Windows 7 driver produces the same BSOD.
