In Audacity, what is the difference in the light color and the dark color in the wave form https://cdn.rekkerd.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Audacity-2.2.0-light.png is the light center in the wave form the sound is the dark blue.

The lighter portion symbolizes the average rms values of the sound and the darker area symbolizes the momentary peak values of the sound.

So, the lighter are is what makes the high and low sound in the video.

The difference between the 2 is an indicator of the dynamic range of the sound. If the lighter area is closer to the darker area the sound would be seen as being compressed and having a lower dynamic range.
