[SOLVED] Working with audio sound

I have VLC media player wi the compressor. I used it playing back a movie but it just didn't seem to level up high and low sounds even. Is there any other media player the let you adjust the sound in a movie while playing back or is there free software that left you playback a movie or video to and use the effects and filters

Whatever media player software you are using on a Windows PC, you adjust the volume in the usual manner by using the volume slider on the right-hand side of the Windows Taskbar (volume icon).

Make sure the Taskbar is not set to automatically hide.

Right-click Taskbar, choose "Taskbar Settings".
