Question Working with different type of RAMs

Hi all,

I have 2 different sets of RAMs from different manufacturers and having different clock speeds:

- (2 x 4 GB) G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 MHz (F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL)
- (2 x 8 GB) Kingston HyperX Fury White 16GB 1866 MHz DDR3 Ram (HX318C10FWK2/16)

Is it somehow possible to make these two sets work in harmony? I can decrease frequencies.

I have Asus Z87-A motherboard and i7-4770 CPU.

They will probably work. Intel has good RAM compatibility. They will run at the lowest speed (1866) in this case. Just install them and see if it boots.

Thank you feelinfroggy777. I will try. Working at 1866 MHz is not problem for me now.


Edit: System boots but G.Skill sticks work @1600MHz
