Works fine, but red CPU LED - Gigabye Aorus H370 Gaming 3 WiFi

I recently built a new system. Everything works perfectly, posts/boots fine, normal temps, etc., but there's an issue with the red CPU LED on the bottom right corner of the board.

If the computer powers on from being fully shutdown, or I hit restart, or the reset switch..the computer works perfectly fine but the red CPU LED will be on after it cycles through the 4 LEDs. I've tried disconnecting the reset switch and this persists. What's weird is if the computer goes to sleep, then wakes up later, the light never comes on at all. I've done some stress testing and am getting normal temps (28 idle, 65c under load) so it appears to be mounted properly.

I've tried reseating the stock cooler, reseating the RAM, reseating the GPU, double checking & replugging CPU cables on the mobo & PSU, but am out of ideas. Is there something else I should be doing?

Also, a few YouTube reviews of the board show the red CPU light on - is it supposed to be on by default on this board? Should I just ignore it given there seem to be no issues with functionality?

Parts in case in matters:

Aorus H370 Gaming 3 WiFi (F7 bios)
i5-8400
EVGA 1060 6GB
EVGA 650W G3 Gold
Corsair Vengeance 2400mhz 16GB
Fractal Design Meshify C
Intel SSD
Aigo LED fans (issue appeared before these were added)

Solution
I think they have a problem with the two latest bios updates for H370 motherboards and windows 10
because I have the same problem with i7-8700 and h370-hd3, after I updated the bios to lastest version.

When I ran a linux environment (live cd or installed version), the CPU status led turned off after the POST completed.
I contacted with gigabyte and I am waiting to thier responed.
Thanks for the response Jay - yeah it's odd. The store I bought the parts at said to contact Gigabyte and they may issue a custom BIOS to turn it off haha. I'll reach out to them. If anyone else has any ideas/comments, they'd be appreciated.

Hi There

I have the same issue with my brand new built
I5 8500
B 360 gaming 3
1060 6GO
Everything seems to work perfectly fine but there is this solod led for the CPU on the mobo
I tried to clear the CMOS manually and also with restoring the default setups; and my bios are updated

Are the custom BIOS did anything good for you ?
Is that dangerous for my PC to continue running it.

Thank you for the answer

The custom bios Gigabyte support provided fixed the issue for me, the light comes on after cycling through all 4 LEDs for about 2 seconds then goes off and stays off. I'd recommend contacting them and they'll send you one for your board hopefully.

Does putting the computer to sleep then waking it solve the issue for you, as it did for me? I don't think there's any danger in running the PC as long as CPU temps are normal (25-35 at idle and 60-75 at load w/ stock intel cooler for your set up sounds reasonable) but I don't know for sure.

Ok so when I put the computer to sleep, the using it again, the led disappear.
However when I turn it off for good, then turn it on again, the led is there.

It seems it is not really bad as I can run everythung without trouble
I will contact them trying to have a viable solution

Thank you for the quick anwer, It is my first built so I don t have a good knowledge of all the surroundings.

Contact gigabyte’s support and they will give you the custom bios
