Hi guys,

Can you take a look at my workstation build? Budget is 1000 EUR and located in Spain for the time being.

Regarding use, I don't plan on gaming, but instead use stock trading platforms, code and run codes while trading and run chrome extensively. I will use 2 monitors and likely add 2 more over next year.

Last time I built a PC was 17 years ago for playing RTS/FPS games so I'm bit rusty but I spent many hours researching things extensively over last few days.

Few questions:
  1. Do I need such an expensive cooler? I know it's cooling 12700K but I don't plan on overclocking it or anything. It seems all coolers for 12700K are on pricier side.
  2. I'm not sure if everything will fit inside the case properly. Case is ATX, motherboard is mATX, is it therefore safe to assume all will fit?
  3. Do I need a dedicated GPU? Motherboard has 4 display outlets, and 12700K has a iGPU so in theory I could run 4 monitors. I like the theory but practice can be different
  4. Did I miss anything? Should all this work together well? Any imbalances?
  5. What would you change?
Much thanks in advance and all comments are welcome

linustechtips forums - MSI Mag PSU isn't recommended. PSU Tier list:

They suggested a Cooler Master MWE 550 Gold V2 instead.

Best to get a corsair tx-650m (650w) anyway.

You could add a gpu like a gtx 1050 so you run 2 monitors from each if you run into difficulties trying to run 4 off the iGPU. Or maybe a corsair RMx.

It will keep your options open. A poor quality psu doesn't get any better even if you don't use it for gaming. Try to get the balance between a reviewed reasonable quality power supply and relatively inexpensive rather than a simply cheap piece de resistance.

So try 4 monitors with the iGPU first and if it works great - but ensure the power supply is a quality one anyway.

@Why_Me thanks for the suggestions, any reason for downgrading on the RAM? I think it's like 10-15 USD difference 3600 vs 3200 so I just went with 3600. Another question, do you suggest 12700 over 12700K due to price or power usage? or maybe something else. Thanks!
3200mhz is easier to set the timings. The 12700 runs cooler and uses less power than the 12700K.

Could you elaborate on 3200mhz with regards to setting the timings? I just care about performance, so as dull as it sounds I see a higher number, 3600, small price increase so I just thought it's an easy choice to go for 3600. Once again, thanks!
