I am building a workstation for finite element analysis, I will probably need a lot of RAM for some massive simulations. But since buying actual 100s 0f GB RAM is very expensive. Therefore i got a intel 900p optane ssd 280gb to use as virtual RAM. my question is should i use all of this memory as virtual RAM from windows virtual memory option or should i leave lets say 80 gb for scratch disk. what would be an ideal setup. the system already have a NVMe ssd 512 gb for windows and programs along with a 2tb hdd for data.
