workstation video card nvidia quadro question

I need to build a home work station before I burn my poor laptop down. I use CAD software and 3D scanning software. Would I be better off getting a P4000 quadro with a 80k tesla card (or other recommendation) about $2400 or a P6000 quadro card for about $4800? Need performance. I have a lot of lag on my k1100m. I'm not a hundred precent sure if either of my softwares I use the most are accelerated for GPU action. I also don't know if the tesla card has to communicate through the video card or not possibly causing a bottleneck or not. If there is a different recommendation I'm listening. I do zero gaming. It is a pure workhorse only.

First step, find out from the software support which cards are good to use with it. If you don't even know if they can be accelerated with the GPU, spending money on one is a waste.
