hi

just playing a game with that little add on and wondering how I can
enter a wormhole. I found one, I sent a ship and it stays where it is.

The wormhole is unowned so far. So what happened?
Will I have to set speed to warp 0 or warp 1 like in warpwells?

btw, was a cats paw if that is important

thanx
Michael

Regardless of the type of ship just enter WRT in the friendly code and
target the wormhole as waypoint. WRT is for WoRmholeTravel while WRS is for
WoRmholeSearch with the mission set to Sensor Sweep.

Thanx for the fast reply. The strange thing was that a doc came with
the first rst and I just checked it again... not a single word about the
fc wrt.

now I can go where no robot has gone before 😉

Step one in solving this mystery would be finding out what exactly "that
little add on" is. In PHost it's the 'WRT' friendly code, the same goes
for the old worm.exe program (actually, PHost's wormholes were modelled
after worm.exe). But there are other implementations of wormholes, which
might work different. In my archive I found "animal tech worm.exe",
which does not document ANY way to enter a wormhole, but it offers fancy
features like wormhole tolls. Then there are Jumpgate, Stargate, Portal, ...

So you'd better figure out what it actually is you want to enter :)

Well, well...

I didn't know that there are that much different wormholes. In fact the
game I play in uses the animal tech wormholes. I'm pretty sure that I
read that somewhere and another fact is that there are tolls for this
wormholes. I thought I will still try it with wrt (the fc wrs for
scanning is mentioned in the doc, wrt is not). But if you have any
information I would be happy :)

Cheers
