Worried about buying GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce GTX 1070

Hi,

Simply enough I want to buy GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce GTX 1070

But I am worried as it has only 5 reviews on Amazon (URL here :http:// )

Not only that , It has only 3 reviews on NewEgg (URL here : http:// )

Other choices with approximately same price which I have here in my country :
1- ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 8GB AMP! Edition

2-ASUS Dual GeForce GTX 1070 OC 8GB GDDR5

3- Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1070

4-GALAX GeForce GTX 1070 EX 8GB GDDR5 (is a way way cheaper-Cheaper by 108 USD- )

All I care about is LONG LIFE, It's a huge investment for me ( I am a doctor and the card equals more than Five Months salary -Welcome to the third world-)

Personaly I recommend Asus. I am not saying you should pick Asus or other brands are bad, but Asus is known for a great after purchase support.

Gigabyte is a large manufacturer and I have had good things to say with their products. The Aorus is a great card, I would go for it.

The reason why the Aorus does not have a bunch of reviews is because "Aorus" is the new name for Gigabytes gaming division. When the 1070s first came out, they did not go by Aorus, I think they were windforce or something like that. It was only a few months ago that the "Aorus" branding began. It is just marketing.

Just choose what you think will be the best, but make sure you are good with RMA IF something happens.

I agree, either of the two, ASUS or GigaByte, will be fine.
Since there will be only a negligible (if any) difference in performance, you can choose the cheaper one.

Personally I would not consider the Zotac, and definitely not the Galax.

Another thing ....there are 2 versions of AORUS 1070 (Rev. 1 & Rev. 2)

I believe Rev. 1 is what we got here in Egypt......I am afraid that Rev. 1 has fatal problems that Gigabyte rushed to make Ver. 2 .

Anybody has a clue what were the problems with Rev. 1 ?
