Hi again! I've recently asked about a certain build, and I'm happy to say that after 6 (grueling) hours, I've managed to build my first PC! I'm very happy with it, though I still need to upgrade my graphics card, and that's what I'm worried about. Not due to performance necessarily, but rather, its size. I'm afraid that anything longer than my current graphics card (Asus GTX 1060 6GB DUAL OC) simply won't fit because of a frustratingly simply thing: the space reserved for mounting drives behind the motherboard, between the case and the right-side panel. It's like a little wall is jutting forward and my current GPU just barely scrapes it. I've taken a couple pictures of what I'm referring to (please forgive the slight bit of dust...):
As you can see, my current GPU barely avoids reaching this metal 'wall'. I've looked at possible upgrade options (particularly the RX 5700 XT) and most of them seem to be longer than what I have, so I'm afraid my options will be limited, or I'll have to buy a new case, which means another few hours of screwing everything back together. Thing is, my case manual and box say it supports expansion cards of up to 300+ mm, so I'm wondering if anyone has a case similar to this one. Here's mine: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/kRBrxr/xigmatek-case-en6213
Does anyone have any suggestions or insights? One of the GPUs I've found is the RX 5700 XT Mech OC, which is actually slightly smaller than my current 1060. Are there similar 'form factor' options like that? Would love to hear about it. And of course, I'm curious of similar cases where longer cards actually fit! A couple of the builds at pcpartpicker actually use longer cards, but I'm still worried, and those builds are 5+ years old.
Thanks in advance! For reference, my mobo is an Asus TUF Gaming B450M-Plus.
