Worried if these are to high temperatures for my CPU/GPU

Hi I'm a beginner at best when it comes to computers, I bought a new PC for gaming about a month ago and I am not sure if I should be worried about these temps for my cpu and gpu
Under load, my gpu
RX 580 runs at 68-72c and my cpu (i5 - 7400) is about the same -- I replaced the stock fan with a CM212 Evo already.
what worries the most is the smell it gives off.. kinda a plastic/rubbery artificial smell.
I hope I'm just paranoid and I don't need to worry about the heat or the smell. thanks for the help in advance

Probably the thermal paste is burning out? Did you use thermal paste that was allready on CM212 EVO or you putted your own?

There was no thermal paste on the heat sink before i put it on, I put on my own

Check if the fan is actually smelling because its new and it can smell as "burning plastic" or "new plastic" lets say.

that could be, but my main thing is about the heat of the gpu/cpu is that average or normal?

Well as for others i saw 95*C is max safe limit, at 100*C card shuts off.
Did you try Crysis 3 (Skybox) or Furmark max temp?

As for CPU thats pretty normal for them. Usually under 80*C is safe.
