Hi all,
Just wondering if any of you have experienced this before: When I run 3d mark 11 with my i7 2600k @ stock I get ~p9000 then when I overclock from 3.4 to 4.4 with a manual voltage of 1.275 I get ~p9200 on 3dmark which is expected but when I OC further to 4.6ghz with manual voltage of 1.33 I only get ~p8900....
next I OC back to 4.4 but this time using an offset voltage of -0.050 and this time I only get ~p9000 in 3dmark instead of ~9200 as I did with a manual vcore of 1.275.
So Basically:
Stock = p9000
4.4ghz manual Voltage 1.275 = p9200
4.6ghz manual voltage 1.33 = p8900
4.4 offset voltage -0.05 = p9000
I thought maybe I need to up the voltage but with an offset of -0.050 4.4ghz draws around 1.275 under load just the same as it does when i manually set it to a constant 1.275. I'm a novice OCer and thought maybe I need to play around with vrm frequencies or phase control but was hoping a more experienced OCer or someone who has encountered this before can point me in the right direction.
Currently I'm running:
multiplier: 44
LLC: 75%
offset: -0.050
core temps max 60 degrees during 3dmark
everything else untouched.
