And in most cases I use the external monitor LG 25UM65 (1080 × 2560)

can asus x556uf core i5 6200u laptop handle my work easily or better that pay extra $135 for intel core i7 6500u processor version?

specs:
core i5 6200u / core i7 6500u
geforce 930m
8gb ram ddr3

thanks

Solution
The 6500u is only about ~10% faster than 6200u (3.1 GHz boost clock vs 2.8 GHz), at best. It may perform a bit better in photoshop, but otherwise I doubt you'll notice a difference.
Both processors are ULV dual core with Hyperthreading. The differences are 200Mhz more for i7 (2.4GHz vs 2.6GHz), and 300Mhz on turbo boost (2.8GHz vs 3.1GHz) and also 1MB more of cache L3 (3MB vs 4MB).

I don't think that paying $135 extra for about 10% more of CPU performace is worth.
You can use those $135 in more RAM, SSD, accessories or Beer.

Regards.

The increment in performance is not worth $135 in my opinion. The i5 6200u and i7 6500u is very close in performance.
The asus x556uf with i5 will be more than capable of your needs, no problem. Laptop performance is surprisingly good these days.

I would get the i5 laptop. Then if the laptop does not come with and ssd, i would buy an ssd with the saved money.

yes. 60 will work on hdmi, dp, or dual-link dvi at that resolution.

my newest laptop (asus n55sf) had i7 2630QM processor And for me it was good and fast (not very awesome) , but laptop broke down...
now I use my first laptop (asus x551c) with Intel Celeron 1007u , it is laggy in some cases and slow in all cases.
In your opinion asus x556uf i5 6200u can be a good choice for me?
thanks

I don't think that even the i7 6500 would be faster than the i7 2630QM. Try to find an quadcore (i5 6300HQ or better, look for the 'Q' at the CPU model) if you want more power. They come at the cost of higher energy consumption, so they won't be so slim or with batteries for lot of hours.
In my case, the 6200u is more than enough.
