Worth an upgrade?

So I've got a pretty blah laptop. I really need another one but I don't wanna spend the money on one because I'm also wanting to build a new desktop. Which is more important

Therefore I'm thinking of upgrading to a SSD, but I've never used one. Will I see a significant change? It'll have Windows 10 on it. Should I upgrade hardware or just buy a new one?

Intel Celeron N2830 2.16 GHz
500 HDD
4 GB ram

By the gods yes. I had an ssd in my system in the past and it is the single best upgrade for day to day usage!

SSDs only decrease the loading times of the programs and os. It will also has better transfer rates which is important if you move files a lot. Otherwise it won't make a difference.
