Worth an upgrade?

Hey guys, I am currently running a
Gtx 980
i5 4670
16gb ram
in my pc. Is it worth the money to upgrade the cpu to the i7-4790K?
And would it give me more fps in games? thanks!

Yes this is for gaming. Would it make a difference in framerate for 1440P gaming?
