Question Worth an upgrade?

Helloes, so as of Metro Exodus and Jump Force releases I realised I need an upgrade if I want to keep playing stuff at at least high details. Right now I got a 980GTX that I can't say I have any issues with. Even so, I am thinking of an upgrade, more precise the 2080RTX. Is it worth the upgrade or should I wait out AMD's response to RTX or possibly the next release from nVidia? What do you guys think.

What CPU do you have atm ? What Board? How much ram installed? SSD or HDD? need more specs, Gpu isnt everything mate
