I saw a gaming computer on craigslist that i really liked, but i am looking for something quite a bit more powerful, it costs $300, and it has an i3-550, 4gb of ram, vapor radeon 5770 graphics, MSI H57M-ED65 Motherboard, and a 550w PSU. would this be worth buying and then upgrading to say 8 gb of ram, an i5, and a radeon hd 7870?

This setup is almost my HTPC setup, If you plan to be playing light games at not the highest settings, this is a good choice, but if you plan to be playing bf4 at ultra, you might get 30 fps if you have a GTX 570

you'd be better off building a new system yourself. don't trust craiglist for computers lol. if you need help let us know your total budget.

Thanks guys, i decided i would rather go with amd because of their cheap fx 6300, so im going to look for a lower end amd build, and upgrade from there. I was hoping i could keep the motherboard and PSU, but i guess not.

thanks, but i have already gotten alot of build advice, i had just thought i might as well check craigslist and see if there was anything cheaper. If i build, im under a $600 budget, i think i would go with fx-6300, and a radeon hd 7870 pair. I wouldnt need a monitor, keyboard or mouse, although i would need an os.
