I'm planning to buy MSI RTX 2060 Ventus OC (or if you guys have better suggestions) but i'm not sure i should get the Palit 1070 ti. Both are priced the same here.

Specs:
i7-4790k
z97 pro wifi
8gb ram
520 W PSU

(not really planning to play 4k, i often play at 1080p)

The 2060 is a pretty good card and value. I don't know what the RTX haters complain about. It can run RTX very well in 1080p in Battlefield 5 and even in 1440p as long you stick to low Ray tracing settings.

Test show that the 2060 performs better than the 1070ti. Unless you want to play 4k.....the 1070ti would benifit from the additional 2 gigs of vram (but I wouldn't use either card for 4k). There can be situations where you might benefit from 8GB in 1440p as well, but there it's not a real problem. Most games use around 5GB Vram in 1440p.

The price for the 2060 is absolutely ok! just don't compare with 1060 launch prices. The 2060 plays in a different league and performance/dollar with is spot on.

OP, I would pick the 2060 over the 1070 ti if you can get them for the same price.
