hi all, at the moment i have 128mb, 1 64mb 2 32mb but i'm not sure if it's 100mhz stuff, would my asus a7pro board take 66mhz ram, or is there a program that can tell me the speed of each stick? Anyway assuming it's all 100mhz would it be worth just getting 128mb@133mhz and chuckin the rest away, or is that just stupid?
Is the performance noticeable?
thanx in advance

with ram prices as low as they are now you could afford to use your ram as a coffee stir-stick. check out www.pricewatch.com. the performance is noticable from pc100 to pc133. i would try to sell the old stuff through a want add or a mom and pop shop that buys used parts. you might be able to tell the speed of your ram by looking in your bios settings. somtimes it will say what speed each ram slot is operating at.

Why would you want to stick 66Mhz RAM modules in there?

Another way to verify the specs of your RAM is to write down the part number printed on the RAM chips and look it up on the chip manufacturer's Website.

You could use PC133 but you won't notice a difference unless you adjust your FSB to run at 133Mhz.
