My rig is functioning well in most moments so far (2700X and a 2060 6GB) for playing anything at High at 1080 @ 60 fps, but just in recent games like Valhalla even on medium/mixed settings I'm getting fps drops below 40 in more croweded areas, that just in the beginning of the game.

I also upgrading already from a 2700X to a 3600X, which I know it isn't a huge jump but it will be a cheap upgrade.

My intention is to keep playing at 1080 @ 60 fps for a long time, so "wait for the next generation" or "just save more and get X" I don't think it will work for me, I think anything besides the 5700 XT would be overkill and maybe above of what I'm whilling to spend.

This update would cost me roughly $100-$150, considering how much each GPU costs here (I can get the 5700 XT for R$2900 BRL and sell my 2060 6GB for R$2200 BRL).

The only thing that worries me is the lack of support to DLSS 2.0, while the lack of RTX just doesn't bother me as much.

There is also the possibility that going from the 2700X to the 3600X will already give the extra performance I'm looking for, so maybe I wait to see how it will all behave or just upgrade already?

What do you guys think?

Going from a 2060 to a 5700 XT should provide a solid performance boost.

Why are you upgrading from a 2700X to a 3600X? You are upgrading from an 8 core / 16 thread CPU to a 6 Core / 12 thread CPU.
