worth getting a 980ti over a 1080?

Hello

So evga have the sale atm so you can get a 980ti sc for 440€ incuding shipping.

While a 1080 costs 800€ here

Even when the 1080 gives better fps in most game by 30-40% more it is the best card and newest.

Would it be worth getting the 980ti over the 1080? i can afford both so money is not the problem but i dont like to waste when i dont need too.

Atm i play at 1080p but i have 3 screens so i can run 5760x1080 and i am planning to get a 4k monitor soon.

i will also get the htc vive later in some months and for that i will need a btter card as atm i have the radeon hd 7970 that still plays almost all my games at max settings 60+ fps.

If you plan to do 4k then you will really need the 1080. Even the 1070 is better at 4k.

I think the GTX 980Ti is much better value for money but if I had money to burn I would probably get the GTX 1080 anyway lol. If on a budget I would probably get GTX 1070 or GTX 980Ti.

GTX980ti is overkill at 1080P.

But, since you plan on triple monitor gaming or gaming at 4k, go ahead and buy the GTX1080.
It is as good as you can get today.

Moreover, since you can afford either, buy the GTX1080.
If you do not, you will forever wonder if you should have.

I have never regretted overpaying for something good.
I have often regretted paying less for something cheap.
