worth getting a gpu?

Originally I was going for an asus gtx 760. But due to some cutbacks I can get the 970 strix.
But my question is,
Is it worth it when you have a monitor like the benq rl2455hm

And also you have to take in mind the game as well and the GTX 970 will max out games for you I also have to know what your current Rig is to make sure there won't be bottlenecks. You have to take in count your whole system to make sure there is nothing that will hinder the performance of the card.

Yes. The 970 is alot faster and has twice the amount of vram which newer games will use even at 1080p.
