I've been planning on upgrading my system since it's been causing problems, so I was headed towards a Ryzen 7 2700x, but should I get it in around a week? Or wait for a newer one soon to come? ( I dont know if theres one soon to come, just asking)

I always take a week or two to order all the parts: Case and PSU came at no charge from a friend of mine:
Not sure on the GPU yet.

I've been with the idea of upgrading for over 5 months, till I actually started to get crashes on my current system, and not enough performace on it. So I think now is time. Im pairing it with a GTX 970 currently, was about to get a 1080, may get a 2070 now. But GPU wont be a problem, it still runs great games, and software is more headed to the CPU. The only problem I have is the SSD, i have a slow one ATM, but im getting a Crucial MX500 500GB, because its quite cheap.
